Crosslinking agent for N,N’-Methylenebisacrylamide purposes

N,N’ -methylene diacrylamide (MBAm or MBAA) is a crosslinking agent used in the formation of polymers such as polyacrylamide. Its molecular formula is C7H10N2O2, CAS: 110-26-9, properties: white crystalline powder, soluble in water, also soluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents. Diacrylamide is a compound of polyacrylamide gel (for SDS-PAGE) that can be used in biochemistry. Diacrylamide polymerizes with acrylamide and is able to create cross-links between polyacrylamide chains, thus forming a polyacrylamide network rather than unconnected linear polyacrylamide chains.

Crosslinking agent
In chemistry and biology, crosslinking is a bond that connects one polymer chain to another. These links may take the form of covalent or ionic bonds, and the polymer may be synthetic or natural (e.g. protein).
